The purpose of this blog is to allow the CWU community to comment on areas of service that our unit provides.

The Multimedia Technology and Instructional Support (MTIS) unit
provides contemporary information technology services, support, and
resources to faculty, students, and academic staff in the pursuit of
their instructional, scholarly and service activities, and other
professional duties.
In short, MTIS provides leadership for the utilization of university
techology recources and staff in support of the academic mission of the
institution.
Goals:
The goals of Multimedia Technologies and Instructional
Support include, but are not necessarily limited to the:
- Enhancement of instruction and learning, scholarship
and service by focusing on and promoting the
development and use of appropriate multimedia
technology tools through a variety of training methods
and laboratory support.
- Maintenance of these multimedia technologies within the
academic environments on campus and at our university
centers using staff, help-desk, self-help and web-based
procedures.
- Establishment of incentives for faculty and students to
make use of these multimedia technologies in the redesign
of curriculum.
- Encouragement of collaborations within the institution and
with other educational institutions for the delivery of newly
designed and developed courses and programs.
- Building partnerships within the community, and among
government agencies and corporations to promote information
multimedia technology solutions in the workplace.
