See the archeological sites of ancient Greece, home of the first Olympic Games and the most recent modern Olympic Games in 2004. Visit the ancient ruins while walking around and experiencing modern Greece. Walk where Socrates, Plato and Aristotle walked and taught in the historic Agora and Plaka area just under the Acropolis in Athens. Read and learn about the works of the famous philosophers and authors of legacy of Hellas. University Profile: Classical Greek Literature and Philosophy Excursions will include the Parthenon on the Acropolis and the bronze statue of Poseidon in the National Museum in Athens, visit and experience the perfect acoustics of the Theater of Epidauros, see the statue of Hermes in Olympia, the sacred sanctuary of Apollo\'s oracle in Delphi as well as modern Olympic stadiums and cruise to 3 close by islands. This 3-credit course will focus on classical Greece with explanations about modern Greece culture and visits to several modern architectural splendors. Class will meet 2-3 times before departure. Students will stay in double rooms in hotels. Before you begin your application, we highly recommend that you see a study abroad advisor to ensure that you have all the information you need about program logistics and eligibility.
