Classes at the Centro Internacional de IdiomasNIVEL VAdvanced Level Intensive Spanish Course. Credit: six quarter credits/four semester credits. Course structure: Two hours of a more in-depth look at grammar and its application for the advanced student. Emphasis on ser vs. estar, the present subjunctive vs. present indicative, definite articles, and the neutral article "lo", A five minute oral report based on a cultural aspect of Mexico is also part of the required course work. Two hours of an introduction to literature from various parts of Latin America. This part of the course focuses on lexical differences from country to country, and discussion and composition related to the text. Text Used: Camp Abierto, by Treacy and Hall. Material used: Readings from Bolivia, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Booklet with grammar exercises. Course content:
