NSE National Student Exchange, Canada - Academic Year Programs


Eligibility

  • Minimum GPA: 2.5
  • Minimum Class Standing: Sophomore
  • Language Requirement: Proficiency
  • Other Info: Note: A limited number of placements may be available at schools that still have openings after the annual placement conference in March. Please inquire mid-March if interested. The deadline for a late placement application is May 1.
  • Good academic standing
  • No current disciplinary record
  • An interview may be required

In addition to academic strength, acceptance is based on personal commitment, flexibility, and suitability for study abroad/exchange. 'Current disciplinary record' is defined as an infraction within the last 12 months.

Application Procedure

A complete application consists of the items in the checklist below. Please complete and submit all application materials together as a packet, using the list below as a checklist. If you are unable to open any forms on this page, you may request copies by e-mailing goabroad@cwu.edu.
    Non-refundable CWU Application Fee:
    • CWU Students: Please pay your application fee of $50 at the Cashiers Office to subcode SA APP. The receipt should be included with your application materials.
    • Non-CWU Students: Please send a check for $50 (application fee) payable to Central Washington University along with your application materials.

    $105 National Student Exchange placement fee: All applicants, regardless of whether they are placed or not, must pay a non-refundable, $105 NSE placement fee. The fee will be billed to your CWU student account.

References and transcripts should be submitted in sealed envelopes (exception: unofficial transcripts for faculty led programs do not need to be put in an envelope).
